DescriptionMIYABI FRP type Version 1 is full FRP specification (front/back: black gel coat finish).Developed with the theme of “Strongest specification for the street” this vehicle-specific aero bonnet combines performance with a focus on lightness, strength, and aerodynamic design, with a beautiful appearance, matching the body line, and quality such as a waterproof structure that prevents rainwater from entering without the need for a cover. Takumi Project’s aero bonnet uses this new carbon molding technology to achieve both performance (lightness and strength) approaching that of racing-spec dry carbon, and quality (beautiful appearance and high precision) suitable for a commercial product. It has been finished as the strongest specification for the street, with no blind spots. The problem with bonnets with cooling ducts is that they are vulnerable to rain.Takumi Project’s aero bonnet is designed to prevent rainwater from entering the engine compartment without a duct cover. The backbone with a return acts as a rain gutter, smoothly draining rainwater that enters through the duct out of the engine compartment. Not only can you park your car in the rain, but you can also use a car wash. It’s a stress-free design that prevents your engine from getting wet. The carbon fiber used in the Takumi Project Aero Bonnet (H-CFRP type) is 3 plies on the front and 2 plies on the back, for a total of 5 plies. The back bone is also made of lightweight and high-strength hard carbon. In addition, honeycomb is sandwiched in the areas where stress is concentrated to increase rigidity. The weight is about 6kg (3kg lighter than the original), and the structure can withstand the wind pressure of circuit driving. *Hood pin installation is recommended. The bonnet damper has a reinforcing plate at the mounting area, allowing it to provide the strong damping force of the OEM specification. A special adjustment plate is also available to make it easier to adjust the clearance during installation.
